Expandable banners
Expandable banners are banner ads that expand to display a message, demanding full screen attention.
An expandable banner can expand to as large as 468 x 420 pixels after a user clicks on it or moves the cursor over the banner, creating immediate impact on the page.
Technical spec:
- Must be coded in Flash (.swf) and can be up to a maximum 60kb
- Default state – 468x60 pixels
- Expanded state – 468x420 pixels (maximum height)
- Replacement ad – Gif or Jpeg up to 12kb
What the client must provide:
- The default banner or MPU
- The expanded banner or MPU
- A replacement version of the banner/MPU which does not expand though communicates the message to the user.
